Ring in the Spring Headband

Skill Level: Easy

Abbrevations :

UK terms – (US in brackets)

St(s) Stitch(es)

Ch Chain

Ch Sp Chain Space

Sl St Slip Stitch

Dc (Sc) Double Crochet (Single Crochet)

Tr (Dc) Treble Crochet (Double Crochet)

3Tr Work 3 Treble Crochet (Double Crochet) into the same stitch or chain space

Gauge:

4.5 stitches and 10 rows = 4in (10cm) over Granny Stitch using 4mm crochet hook. Use a larger or smaller crochet hook to obtain the correct tension.

Finished Size:

22 inch circumference.

Pattern Notes:

Whatever your skill level with crochet, I would always recommend reading through this pattern before beginning. Get in touch if you need any help completing the pattern.
This headband is worked in rows made up of 2 sides around the Macramé ring and then joined with slip stitching.
Ch4 at the beginning of the rows DO count as a Treble Crochet stitch and 1 chain.
Ch1 at the beginning of the row DOES NOT count as a stitch.
Stitch instructions within square brackets are to be worked in the same chain or stitch.

How to make this Spring Crochet Headband Pattern

Row 1: Working through the centre of the Macramé ring, Ch1, Dc 16 times. Turn. (16)

Row 2: Ch1. Dc in each St across. (16)

Row 3: Ch4 (counts as Tr & Ch1). In same St as Ch, *3Tr, Ch1, Skip next 2 Sts* 3 times. Skip next 2 Sts, Tr in last stitch. Turn. (6 Ch Sp)

Row 4: Ch4. In Ch Sp, 3Tr, Ch1, 3Tr in next 4 Ch Sp. Tr in last Ch Sp. Turn. (6 Ch Sp)

Rows 5-21: Repeat Row 4.

Row 22: Ch1. Dc in top of each Tr and each Ch Sp to end. Fasten off. (22)

Make 2nd Side of headband.

Attach yarn ensuring tail yarn is on the opposite side of the Macramé ring as pictured.

Repeat Rows 1-22. DO NOT FASTEN OFF 2ND SIDE

Joining Up This Crochet Headband

Placing the 2 ends together and working through the front loop of the last side worked and the back loop of the first side made.

Row 23: Ch1. Slip Stitch through each stitch across to join the two sides.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.
