I love how the snowflake emerges as you stitch up this square using a variation of the spike stitch while working in the round.
This winter granny square pattern would look great in a whole blanket made just in this square or paired with other Christmas granny square patterns.
This square could also be worked up in cotton to create the most wonderful crochet coasters by working on the 1st 7 rounds of this pattern.
Like many of the granny square patterns in the Hodgepodge Blanket CAL, this square can be added to any others to create your own unique crochet blanket.
You can purchase a printable copy of the full Hodgepodge Crochet along from 15th August - 13th September with a discount of 25% during the crochet along event.
