2 Double Crochet Cluster Stitch (2 Dc-Cl)
Cluster stitches are created with 2 or more stitches of any of the basic crochet stitches. The stitches are worked in a similar way to how you crochet 2 stitches together, but the cluster stitch does not reduce the stitch count by decreasing as the stitches in the cluster are worked into the same stitch without changing the stitch count.

Cluster stitches are usually worked with the double crochet (UK treble crochet stitch) more than the other basic crochet stitches. The 2 double crochet cluster stitch uses the minimum number of stitches need to make a cluster, which creates the flattest crochet fabric of all the variations of crochet cluster stitches and the fabric is also quite solid.
As you learn the 2 double crochet cluster stitch, you’ll notice how it is worked almost the same way as the Dc2Tog stitch, but instead of working the stitch across 2 stitches of the previous row to reduce the stitch count, the 2 double crochet cluster is worked into the same stitch. This means that the cluster stitch doesn’t change the stitch count.
