Happy New Year

What will this year bring?

Health, happiness and prosperity?

A very Happy New Year to you all along with a big welcome to my blog.

With the next 12 months reaching ahead of us, I know many will be thinking about their resolutions and goals they want to achieve.

I have quite the mixed bag of goals from personal goals, health goals through to business ones too. One thing I have learned in my day job, is that the 1st challenge is to write them down! Then you can start creating a plan to make them happen! Remember…

Have you taken time to jot your plans on paper?

One of the boldest quotes I’ve been struck by is the following:

What would you do if you knew you would succeed?

Imagine, your goals would be come a reality, all you efforts will pay off and get you the results you want! What would you start working towards? A new home? A new job? Or something as simple as getting started on clearing out your work space to make it more user friendly?

I’ve listed my goals below so I can make a commitment to making them happen. Share your goals in the comments below.

Personal Goals

• See more of my friends and family

• Be more active and go to the gym

• Visit another country on my list of “place to visit”

Business Goals

• Launch my website (if you’re reading this, I can tick it off my list!)

• Publish 4 patterns

• Expand the crochet workshops offered

• Take part in 2 large scale craft fairs

• Expand the Crochet Get Together to require a larger premise

I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking. Thinking about what I want to achieve from my crafting and what I’ve enjoyed using my time on in the previous 12 months.

One true passion developed – sharing my crochet skills by teaching others!

I started offering crochet workshops back in July 2018 and it has been wonderful to teach so many people already. From absolute beginners the simple elements like how to hold the hook through to different techniques such as C2C (corner to corner). January is proving to be a busy month with lots of people looking to learn a new skill and I am very excited to share this craft with even more people!

What I’ve really loved, is seeing my earlier students share they latest makes in our Facebook group. Their pride and thrill of trying and finishing a new pattern they selected is wonderful!  We’vw also started our own Crochet social group which will be meeting on 2nd Friday of every month so I can spend more time with local crafters.

If you’ve ever fancied learning to Crochet or want to be involved in our get together, get in touch.
