Bittersweet Margaret Skirt | Premium Crochet Patterns

This easy crochet skirt pattern is written to be fully size inclusive, available in 9 different Adult sizes – XS through to 5XL. The size chart below details the sizing and the yarn required for each size too.

The skirt is inspired by the summer fashions worn by Princess Margaret in the 1950’s where full circle skirts were all the rage!

This skirt is is designed to give the impression of a full skirt without the bulk around your hips. The pleats create a flattering decrease in from the hips and the optional waistband can cinch in your silhouette even more.

The pattern works up quickly with the easy pattern repeat and shows the rows needed for 3 different lengths – petit, regular and tall.

WeCrochet CotLin DK Weight (70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% linen. 123yds/50g)
I used the following 2 shades:
Main Colour: Whisker (U135)
Contrast Colour: Conch (U337)
4.5mm Crochet Hook
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Stitch Markers
6 inch zip
Hook & Eye

If you’ve never used this blended type of yarn before, it feels a little rough while working with it, but really washes up so well!! Just what we need when we are making those crochet projects that are going to be used lots!

Sizing

The chart below shows you and estimation on how much yarn you’ll need per size. The skirt is designed to sit on your true waist (directly between your hips and chest).

Grab your tape measure, and check your waist measurement to confirm the amount of yarn you’ll need to make your own vintage inspired crochet skirt.
