The yarn I used in this pattern was kindly supplied by Furlscrochet.com and I selected to crochet this shawl with one of my favourite yarns; Wander Acrylic Yarn.
Furls Wander Yarn is a premium acrylic yarn with 100% acrylic fibres that has the most unbelievable sheen and gives a super smooth finish to projects. Click here to read my full review of this yarn.
When I searched through the large number of shades to choose from, I fell in love with the shade Festival - it's so bright that it's almost florescent!
I will admit that I was a little shocked when I saw the shade in real life, but paired with cooler shade, such as the Mist shade I used in this pattern, it creates the most fabulous accent colour!
The Bold and Bright Bobbles Shawl is not the 1st pattern I have designed in Wander Yarn. Below you can find links to other patterns that feature this pattern:
It really is the most wonderful yarn to stitch up accessories, that are worn close to the skin.
The bead stitch also featured in one of the granny square patterns in the Hodgepodge Blanket CAL and proved to me a very popular stitch to work up.
The Bold and Bright Bobbles shawl pattern works up quickly and features the Bead Stitch for the bobbles and uses (US) single crochet stitches to create a pinstripe to break up the grey colour. The printable pattern comes with 2 versions, one in UK terms and one in US terms to make it easier to follow.
