If you've never used faux fur yarn, the prospect can feel a little daunting. The 2 easiest way's to crochet with faux fur yarn are:

  • Double Stranded
  • Use the faux fur yarn with strand of "normal" yarn, holding them together as you crochet
  • Slip stitch to a crochet fabric
  • this technique is how the faux fur is added to these fingerless gloves

The technique used in this pattern will see the faux fur attached using surface crochet which means you don't need to work back into the fur yarn, keeping things really easy.

I used PaintBox Simply Chunky to use alongside the Sirdar Faux Fur Yarn, as the colours complement the faux fur so well!

Here are a couple of colour combinations you can create with my favourite yarns:

  • Sirdar Faux Fur Yarn: Shade 402 - Seal & PaintBox Simply Chunky: Shade 305 Slate Grey
  • Sirdar Faux Fur Yarn: Shade 404 - Lynx & PaintBox Simply Chunky: Shade 309S oft Fudge
