Extended hdc Granny Square Pattern – Fearful In The Mood Square

Create a square within a square with this vibrant granny square pattern that uses an extended crochet stitch which is worked into the 3rd loop to create added texture. This granny square has been designed to represent the fearful mood for the In The Mood Blanket.

Extended HDC Granny Square | Fearful Granny Square

Extended crochet stitches create a slightly larger stitch than the normal stitch which are used to add extra height when needed. The extended half double crochet is combined with working in the 3rd loop to create a boxed in look to this granny square.

This square is being used to represent the mood of being fearful, and I wanted to capture the sense of being guarded with your feelings, and shutting down which is a natural response to these heavy duty feelings.

There are 7 different granny square patterns, each square represents a different mood you might experience over 12 months. Below you will find links to each of the squares featured in the In The Mood Crochet Along
